Mechatronics Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Your role

  • You are part of the Diagnostics and Testing Team supporting product quality, system reliability, and production
  • You support the development, validation, and troubleshooting of mechatronic systems and components
  • You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electronics, software, and quality engineering to ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements
  • You develop and execute diagnostic and validation tests for mechatronic systems and components
  • You perform system troubleshooting and fault analysis during testing and development phases
  • You analyze test results and prepare technical reports and documentation
  • You identify root causes of failures and support the implementation of corrective actions
  • You design, build, and maintain test setups and experimental prototypes
  • You work with multidisciplinary teams to improve system performance, reliability, and testing procedures
  • You interpret and review electrical schematics to support diagnostics and system validation
  • You develop scripts or tools to automate testing, data acquisition, and analysis

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in diagnostics, validation, testing, or system integration of mechatronic systems
  • Strong hands-on engineering skills with experience working on physical systems, prototypes, and test setups 
  • Knowledge of Simulink for system modeling or analysis 
  • Experience with Python for test automation, data analysis, or scripting
  • Familiarity with communication protocols used in electromechanical and automation systems (e.g., CAN, UART, EtherCAT)
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
  • Experience in designing electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for mechatronic systems 
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Good technical documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Fluent in English
  • Driver’s license (Category B)
